Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture FAQ
What is Cosmetic or Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture?
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is a holistic, natural approach to anti-aging and skin health. It uses fine, hair-thin needles on the face and body to stimulate circulation, boost collagen production, and encourage your skin’s own healing and renewal processes- all while supporting internal balance for long-lasting results.
How does it work?
Tiny acupuncture needles placed in the face create a micro-healing response– increasing blood flow, oxygen, and nutrient delivery to the skin.
This stimulates collagen and elastin production, tones facial muscles, and helps reduce fine lines and puffiness. At the same time, acupuncture points are used to balance hormones, digestion, and stress- addressing the root causes of skin aging from within.
What skin concerns can it help with?
Facial acupuncture can improve:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Sagging or dull skin
- Dark circles or puffiness
- Uneven tone or texture
- Acne and acne scarring
- Dryness or loss of radiance
- Jaw tension or puffiness from stagnation
Is it the same as Botox or fillers?
No. Cosmetic Acupuncture is completely natural and non-invasive.
Rather than paralyzing or filling muscles, it helps the skin rejuvenate itself by improving circulation, tone, and collagen from the inside out.
Think of it as natural Botox with bonus wellness benefits.
Does it hurt?
Most clients feel very little to no pain.
The needles are extremely thin, and many people describe the sensation as a gentle prick followed by deep relaxation. Some areas may feel a quick pinch that fades in seconds. We do offer numbing cream to all clients to ensure comfortability during the session.
Is there any downtime?
There’s usually no downtime.
You may notice tiny pink marks or mild redness that fades within minutes to an hour.
Bruising is rare but can happen. If so, it’s typically very mild and resolves quickly.
How many treatments will I need?
You’ll likely notice a healthy glow after the first session, but lasting changes typically build over time. A full series is usually 10-12 sessions, 1-2 times per week for best results.
What kind of results can I expect?
Clients often report:
- Brighter, smoother skin
- Softer fine lines
- Lifted and toned facial muscles
- Improved texture and elasticity
- A more relaxed, youthful expression
- Better sleep, mood, and digestion
Because it works holistically, people often say they look rested, not “done.”
Can I combine facial acupuncture with other treatments?
Yes! Facial acupuncture pairs beautifully with:
- Nanoneedling or Microneedling (on alternating weeks)
- LED light therapy
- Gua Sha or facial cupping
Who is a good candidate?
- Prefer non-invasive, toxin-free care
- Want to address both skin and internal wellness
- Experience early signs of aging, dullness, or stress-related skin changes
- Want to proactively prevent the signs of aging
Who should avoid facial acupuncture?
It’s not recommended if you:
- Are pregnant (first trimester)
- Have uncontrolled high blood pressure, bleeding disorders, or severe migraines
- Have active infections, open wounds, or recent facial surgery
- Are on blood thinners or have frequent bruising (discuss with your provider)
How long is a session?
Most appointments last 60 minutes, including consultation, needling, and LED Light Therapy. You’ll leave feeling relaxed, refreshed, and glowing.
How should I prepare for my treatment?
- Eat a light meal or snack before your session
- Arrive with clean skin (no makeup or heavy skincare)
- Avoid alcohol, caffeine, or intense exercise right before treatment
What should I do after treatment?
- Avoid makeup, saunas, and vigorous exercise for 24 hours
- Keep skin hydrated and use gentle, clean skincare
- Stay hydrated and rest if possible
- Always apply SPF 30+ daily
When will I start seeing results?
You’ll likely notice brighter, more relaxed skin immediately, with tone and texture improving over the next 24-48 hours. After a few sessions, you’ll see firmer, smoother, and more lifted skin with lasting improvements to overall glow and wellness.
What makes this treatment unique?
Unlike surface-level cosmetic procedures, Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture:
- Treats both skin and system—inside and out
- Improves overall health, energy, and stress balance
- Encourages your body’s natural regenerative capacity
- Offers visible results with no harsh chemicals or downtime
